by Ronald on Mar.19, 2013, under Garage, General
Many of you might have seen some new decals on our DC5 race car…Gear X and Special Projects.
So what happened? We hadn’t updated our blog for a while, but during that time our team member Reinier did an excellent job in rebuilding our gearbox. The stock box wasn’t too happy with the 300+ HP we thrown at it, so time for improvement here!
We got in contact with Jeff Owen from Kiwi Project / Special Projects / Gear X. After some discussion and advice with the goals for this car in mind we decided to get the following parts:
* Pro III CLose Ratio Gear Set
* 5.08 Final Drive
* Carbon Synchros
* New bearings/Seals.

by Ronald on Mar.14, 2013, under General, Race events

Another piece of carbon added to our car; The rear spoiler. A custom made one with water cutted mounts with our projectdc5 url in it. Since the car will be very light in the rear, we have choosen for a large wing to get to drag we need. Once the car is ready to roll we can finish the tests and adjust the spoiler to the optimal position.
Under 2 minutes – We made it!
by Ronald on Mar.02, 2013, under Garage, General
We made it! Yes! We always said we would start from scratch if we could not go below 2 minutes on Assen TT Circuit.
In our first serious testing laps for this season, after the full rebuild and a lot of suspension tweaks, we made it!
Now we will finetune both the car and the driver, try to loose some extra weight (both the driver and the car? ) and try to imrove this laptime during the year!
