Showoff Project DC5 New Spec List

The long awaited spec list for our Time Attack DC5:
The most asked question during the last 2 months was: ‘What are the engine specs gonna be?’ Well, the stock JDM K20A will become a 2.2 VTEC ‘all-motor’ (NA) monster, built with Skunk2 and Cosworth Internals!

Roll Cage Work Continued

We have had some busy times lately with Showoff Imports daily job: Selling Tuning Parts. So we haven’t seen much time for the DC5 recently. But now we started again. Continue welding the cage, dismantle the rear suspension, customizing the brake kit, etc.

Getting started with the roll cage.

Because there was nothing more to strip from the car we finally decided it was time to start fiddling with the roll cage. We started with a prefabbed full weld-in cage. You can imagine it was a giant puzzle to find out witch part goes where, but it seems like we got the hang of it after some higher level discussions. Some piping needed some adjustments but that should be no problem for our team. After two days of struggling with the pipes, shot down knees and some good burn-marks this is where we ended up.

Getting a stripped chassis…

Taking out the engine went so smooth that we continued with all other parts on the car that were left: front suspension, steering house, wipers, doors, trunk, clutchcables, tank, rear suspension, etc…
