It’s getting hot in here!

Feeling hot hot hot…
So, You remember round 1 with our new personal record of 1.58 in the qualification but a final where we lost over a second due to cold tyres? We had 1st position in warmup and qualification sessions but couldn’t do the same in the finals and ended up 3rd. Since the finals are only 1 inlap and 1 hotlap we could not get heat in our tyres at all so quickly. Anyone who knows me can confirm that this 3rd position is seen as ‘loosing’, and I hate loosing
So part of the solution: Tyre Warmers! Of course you can buy these everywhere but we had them special made for our tyres and even included our logo’s. Oh yeah!
They were just too late for Round 2 (Which we WON by the way…), but ready for Round 3 in Assen, june 8.
Assen here we come!

Great start of the season!
Team Showoff Imports had a great start, we finished 3rd place in Super Pro class! During the practice laps and the qualification we had a first place, but in the finals we couldn’t make a perfect lap and ended up 3rd, where a subaru got 2nd place and one of our friends (Bo Neilsen) got 1st!
During the winter we had spend a lot of time on weightsaving and the result was a new personal record, our best laptime ever: 1.58.011

2013 European Time Attack Masters at Zandvoort
Just seven days after the conclusion of the 2013 UK Time Attack season, we find ourselves in the Netherlands for the first ever European Time Attack Masters. The idea is simple: Invite Time Attack cars from all around Europe to see who is fastest.
The venue for this first meeting is the twisting and technical Zandvoort circuit, on the West coast of the country right on the North Sea. Six cars from the UK Time Attack Championship are here to do battle against a range of cars and drivers, from local Dutch drivers with inside knowledge, to unknown quantities from as far as Finland and the Ukraine.
The cars are separated by just four classes – Four Wheel-Drive (4WD), Rear Wheel Drive (RWD), Front Wheel-Drive (FWD) and Naturally-Aspirated (NA). For this inaugural event, competitors can use any tyres they wish (including slicks) and pretty much anything goes – anti-lag, nitrous oxide injection, race fuel, the works. There aren’t any turbo restrictors here to slow the cars down After all, this isn’t Racing… this is Time Attack!
